Construction Manufacturing Company - Quality Manager

Location: Doncaster / Scunthorpe

Salary: £35-40,000 (negotiable), private cash/health plan

Type: Full-time, permanent

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8 am - 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am - 3.30 pm, with occasional early and late hours

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the development of a quality-focused environment within a reputable joinery construction manufacturing firm specializing in commercial projects. You will develop and maintain Quality Management Systems including ISO 14001 / ISO 9001, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, and Supplier Quality Assurance processes, ensuring ongoing compliance and integration across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to maximize profit and efficiency.
  2. Manage audit programs, supplier development, and project delivery.
  3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.
  4. Achieve quality targets aligned with customer and business objectives.
  5. Contribute to quality strategy, policies, and procedures for operational improvement.
  6. Respond to customer complaints, conduct analyses, and implement corrective actions.
  7. Update and communicate quality documentation and lessons learned.
  8. Ensure compliance with all quality procedures and external certifications.
  9. Train staff in quality systems and conduct internal audits.
  10. Oversee maintenance, safety, and inspection activities.
  11. Lead regular quality review meetings and produce reports and presentations.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably in joinery or construction sectors.
  • Positive, energetic, and capable of working independently.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and methodologies.
