An established industry player is seeking a Principal Power Systems Engineer for an initial 12-month contract. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working remotely while requiring on-site presence in Barrow-in-Furness or Filton two days per fortnight. Principal Power Systems Engineer

Initial 12 Month Contract

Hybrid - 2 days per fortnight on site in either Barrow-in-Furness (Cumbria) or Filton (Bristol)

£79.17 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)

The Role
  1. Develop design solutions to agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones.
  2. Develop and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme.
  3. Understand the contractual and performance requirements for various systems, and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation and commissioning activities.
  4. Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, supporting calculations, design evidence and justifications.
  5. Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
  6. Provide support to the Certificate of Design activities appropriate to the discipline and articulate and present complex technical argument clearly, logically and simply.
The Candidate
  1. Technical report writing skills.
  2. Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle.
