Job description

A full-time opportunity has arisen for a level 3 Nursery Nurse to join a warm and friendly nursery in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. If you enjoy engaging in exciting activities with children under 3 years of age and have a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, we want to hear from you.

Person Specification:
  • NVQ Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum and supporting children under 3 years of age
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
  • Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Nursery Nurse Responsibilities:
  1. Key worker responsibilities for a small group of children, ensuring their individual, physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  2. Conduct regular observations and assessments on key children and plan activities tailored to each child's needs.
  3. Build positive relationships with families and carers.
  4. Demonstrate inclusive practices and positive behavior management techniques.
  5. Comply with all nursery policies and procedures.
  6. Work with the EYFS curriculum to promote diversity and deliver learning opportunities in a fun and caring environment.
  7. Collaborate closely with the Room Leader to maintain high standards of care, including daily records, checks, sleep charts, nappy changes, and diary sheets.
  8. Share responsibility for hygiene and cleanliness, reporting hazards to the nursery manager.
  9. Attend monthly staff meetings, training sessions, and events as required.
