Bosworth is a relatively small school of approximately 200 students, the majority of whom are boarders from overseas, though the school has a small cohort of day students who benefit from being at a school that is proudly international in character. We pride ourselves on the individualised support we give to our students across all Key Stages. Staff know students well, care deeply, and are committed to doing their utmost to ensure every student thrives and attains their very best. Our high-quality teaching, excellent academic results, established university links, and caring and supportive environment are just some of the stand-out features of the school, as well as our diverse student body and central location in Northampton, at the crossroads of the United Kingdom. We pride ourselves on being a non-selective school with a proven track record of getting students great outcomes and putting them on a trajectory to success
ABOUT THE ROLE
Bosworth Independent School is seeking a highly creative, dynamic and results-driven Head of Admissions to lead our student recruitment strategy. This is a pivotal role that blends admissions leadership with proactive marketing, working at the heart of the school’s growth and profile-raising strategy. As the first point of contact for prospective families, you will be responsible for overseeing the admissions process. While around seventy percent of our pupils are drawn from the international market, you will have a particular and strong focus on increasing domestic student numbers. We believe that this is an era of growth that has huge potential, not least because at Bosworth we are fortunate to be able to: keep class sizes small (maximum 18, average 12) which means students get the attention they need to excel and which parents expect; to maintain a high number of scholarships and bursaries at a time when many independent schools are regrettably having to cut theirs and; to not have to pass on any VAT to parents. Our brand position is that we offer a very high quality education at a proudly affordable price.
You will also collaborate closely with the CATS Global sales and marketing teams to raise the profile of Bosworth both locally and internationally.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, driven and energetic professional with a keen understanding of the independent education market, excellent communication skills, and a proven track-record in sales and marketing. You will have impeccable interpersonal skills, be highly organised, able to effectively balance multiple demands on your time simultaneously and thrive on that. You will also be customer-service focused and data-literate.
You will be based in the school and be a recognisable presence about the place, taking time to shadow pupils, to drop into lessons and assemblies, and to be at as many events as possible. It is only through doing that you will quickly understand the day-to-day running of the school and its events, its ethos and educational philosophy, as well as the dynamism and globalism that characterise the place that you will be able to effectively market the school.
