Job description

East Kent University NHS Foundation Trust (EKUFT) has an exciting and challenging new role within the pharmacy department and requires an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The post holder will be responsible for supplying medications to service users across the Trust.

Dispensing duties will include processing in-patient and outpatient prescriptions and assisting in the sale of pharmacy medicines.

No previous experience in pharmacy is required as full in-house training will be provided.

We seek applicants who are eager to learn, can organize and prioritize their work to meet deadlines, and are able to work using their own initiative. While an NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services is preferred, applicants without this qualification will be supported to enroll and work towards achieving it.

As a Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer, you will work with a multidisciplinary team supporting reception and dispensing services for both in-patients and out-patients within the Pharmacy Department.

You will lead by providing excellent customer service and act as a role model to other team members.

You should be able to handle inquiries efficiently, politely, and courteously, providing a caring and helpful service to staff, patients, and the public.

It is expected that you work within the scope of the Job Description and Standard Operating Procedures.
