Team and Role Overview

Our AI/ML Platform Engineering team develops a leading platform of tools and services for MLOps/DevOps across Cloud and HPC environments. Our aim is to reduce development time and elevate engineering standards across AI/ML teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a core engineer for the AIML platform, providing technical expertise to related teams.
• Co-design major software components, contribute to production code in Python, and participate in design and PR reviews.
• Take responsibility for key platform components, focusing on usability, reproducibility, and performance at scale.
• Integrate with DataOps and Data Engineering products for optimal ML training performance.
• Participate in scrum teams, offering technical guidance.
• Innovate strategies and workflows to improve user experience.
• Promote best practices in engineering discipline, including CI/CD processes, and contribute to continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Industry experience in software engineering within AIML and MLOps roles.

Preferred:

• Deep Python expertise, including documentation, testing, and operations tools.
• Proficiency with modern software development tools (git, DevOps tools, monitoring).
• Cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), including infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer) and scalable compute technologies.
• Hands-on with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, and libraries such as Huggingface or Deepspeed.
• Experience with ML performance tuning, multi-GPU/TPU training, large model deployment.
• CI/CD implementation experience, including tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Experience with ML pipelines (Vertex Pipelines, MLFlow), MLOps tools (Kubeflow, Vertex AI), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and HPC systems.
• Active engagement with open-source tools and communities.
• Agile development experience with Jira and Confluence.
