Integration and Solution Architect with a prestigious company in the banking / financial services sector in Central London.

About the Role

As an Integration and Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing complex software integration solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the bank, ensuring seamless system integration and enabling business growth through innovative technology strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture Design: Develop high-level architecture designs, blueprints, and integration strategies aligned with the bank’s business goals. Define and maintain architecture standards, principles, and best practices. Lead the design and delivery of complex integrations, including cloud solutions (public, private, and SaaS).
2. Integration Strategy & Implementation: Design and oversee end-to-end integration using middleware platforms, APIs, microservices, and other technologies. Ensure scalability, security, and reliability in integration solutions.
3. Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, guiding system and data integration efforts. Partner with software engineers, data engineers, DevOps, and business analysts for successful project delivery. Mentor and guide development teams on integration best practices.
4. Solution Validation & Optimisation: Evaluate existing systems to identify opportunities for innovation and optimisation. Ensure solutions comply with architectural guidelines, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues for optimal performance.
5. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, process flows, and technical specifications. Conduct training sessions, presentations, and workshops to share expertise.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure and Software AG (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in overseeing/driving technology transformation.
• Proven expertise in integration solutions for on-premises and cloud-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
