We are offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive pharmacist to join our mental health pharmacy team based at New Craigs Hospital.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is keen to gain knowledge, clinical skills, and experience in the mental health specialty. You will be supported in your development by our experienced team of clinical pharmacists and will have access to formal learning opportunities.
You will work as a key member of both the pharmacy team and the wider multidisciplinary mental health teams to provide patient-centred care while ensuring safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective use of psychotropic medicines for both in-patients and out-patients. You will have opportunities to be involved in the education and training of other professionals and trainees as part of your role and to contribute to the provision of a specialist clinical pharmacy advice service to healthcare professionals across North Highland.
You will be an effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
An independent prescribing qualification would be an advantage, but you would be supported to undertake the training if you do not already have this qualification.
