Job Profile: Project Manager – UK Product Manager

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: UK-based (with expected travel)

Job Summary:

This is a rare opportunity to lead the UK expansion of a high-quality, high-performance FMCG

fuel product that is already trusted across Europe by professionals in the DIY, home & garden,

agricultural, and light machinery sectors. As UK Product Manager, you will play a dual role in

driving both sales growth and supply chain development. You will be responsible for launching

direct operations in the UK, taking ownership of the go-to-market strategy, commercial

relationships, logistics infrastructure, and long-term team building.

Initially focused on hands-on setup and execution, you will serve as the central point of

contact for large retail accounts, trade distributors, and service centres. Over time, your role

will evolve to build and lead a high-performing team, with full accountability for the

commercial and operational success of the UK market.

Backed by a well-established international group, this role suits an operationally focussed

and sales driven individual —someone ready to shape the UK strategy, own key customer

relationships, and establish efficient, scalable supply chain operations from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Entry & Setup

  • Develop and deliver the UK go-to-market strategy for a premium fuel product tailored
  • for small engines and specialist machinery.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to establish/increase sales with
  • existing customers and acquire new business across priority sectors.
  • Set up and manage supply chain operations, including warehousing, transport
  • logistics, service-level agreements, and partner contracts.
  • Initiate and grow commercial relationships with customers in DIY retail, garden and
  • landscape supply, agricultural co-operatives, and trade-focused service centres.

Customer & Commercial Development

  • Serve as the main liaison with Central Purchasing Buyers, distribution groups, and strategic accounts.
  • Build long-term relationships with key customers, working across internal departments to ensure consistent value delivery and operational performance.
  • Educate stakeholders on product benefits, end-user value, and environmental advantages to support adoption and sell-through.
  • Contract & Negotiation Management
  • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, terms of sale, delivery conditions, discounts, rebates, and trade cooperation budgets.
  • Manage responses to brand and private label tenders in line with company commercial policy.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities, securing mutually beneficial agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration, Team Building & Leadership

  • Work with internal teams including Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Product Development, to optimise products, processes and commercial readiness.
  • Define the long-term organisational structure required for UK growth and lead recruitment planning.
  • Champion a collaborative, high-performance team culture aligned with group values.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support for new hires.
  • Lead reporting and KPI tracking for the business area
  • Monitor and analyse revenue evolution, profitability, and remuneration rates.
  • Lead UK sales forecasting activities and contribute to group-level budgeting and strategic planning cycles.
  • Ensure accuracy and insight in reporting to guide data-informed decisions and longterm planning.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or equivalent (e.g. technical apprenticeship with commercial training).
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, key account management, or business development.
  • Proven track record in launching new markets or technical products, with exposure to both sales and supply chain.
  • Sector experience in Fuel, Chemical, Energy or Light Machinery or experience with DIY retailers, machine service centre, distributors or related markets.
  • Strong grasp of pricing strategy, product lifecycle, and logistics.
  • Experience working with SMEs and multinational corporate structures. Business Acumen & Personal

Skills:

  • Confident, proactive, and commercially focused professional.
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive and hands-on execution capability.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills across all levels.
  • Able to manage complex and competing priorities using a structured, data-driven approach.
  • Customer orientated with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Collaborative, influential, and comfortable in an international environment.

What We Offer:

  • We offer a competitive remuneration package aligned with the scope and seniority of this role,
  • including performance-based incentives. Typical benefits may include:
  • Annual bonus
  • Private medical insurance
  • Flexible working arrangements

You’ll be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with the autonomy to make a real impact. As part of an international group with strong sustainability values and a collaborative culture, we foster innovation, ownership, and long-term professional growth. This is a rare opportunity to shape a market-leading brand’s future presence in the UK from the ground up.
