Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding, or assembly-related topics, ensuring processes operate at optimal levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, with extensive knowledge of associated manufacturing processes. These may include the optimization and standardization of stamping, molding, assembly, or other processes within the manufacturing environment. The teams enable TE business unit plants to meet TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), implement Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs), and advise on tool and machine improvements. They design and develop manufacturing processes and automation platforms for new product development and existing product optimization. Additionally, they support product development in selecting and optimizing tools for production and choosing suitable manufacturing concepts based on quantities, quality, and location. They act as interfaces between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs, smooth ramp-up, and support R&D in producing sample manufacturing equipment, prototypes, and samples.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Supply assembly departments with inks, potting compounds, and other materials to maintain stock levels supporting ongoing production.
2. Maintain stock control of materials and equipment to ensure continuous dispensing process operation.
3. Observe COSHH regulations and company procedures to maintain safety levels.

Support Functions

1. Analyze and control plating solutions and related processes per schedules.
2. Support lab technicians in operating and controlling effluent treatment, maintaining clarifiers, probes, filter cake manufacture, and reagent levels.
3. Maintain laboratory records and report data to meet company and legislative requirements.
4. Ensure housekeeping standards to prevent decline in laboratory equipment or environment.
5. Develop dispensing and analytical techniques in collaboration with the Technical Plating Manager.
6. Support stock control of materials and equipment to ensure continuous plating laboratory function.
7. Perform any other reasonable tasks to support departmental functions.

Candidate Background

1. Strong education, particularly in Math, English, and preferably chemistry.
2. Experience with dispensing, plating, and analytical equipment.
3. Ability to recommend maintenance and control of plating solutions and baths, including procurement and process changes after training.
