Job description

Loreto College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Biology to join our vibrant and successful Biology department. Biology at Loreto College is a popular subject that delivers high success rates and excellent student progression, with many students going on to fantastic destinations. The department offers a range of extra-curricular activities and trips that make Biology an exciting subject to study. There may also be an opportunity to teach some Applied Science.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning under the leadership of the Head of Department.
2. Assess students’ work regularly and provide timely feedback.
3. Monitor and support students’ progress and development using the college’s bespoke systems.
4. Build and maintain positive relationships with students.
5. Contribute to the development and delivery of the subject in line with awarding organisation specifications.
6. Collaborate closely with colleagues to enhance the department’s offerings.
