Job description

Technical Sales Specialist, Lab Instrumentation

Location: UK wide

Salary: Basic plus very attractive commission scheme (£70-90K ote)

Our client is a well-established supplier of lab instrumentation to the scientific industry across the UK and Ireland. Working from a home office base, you’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of lab instrumentation and will manage sales across all UK & Ireland. Your clients will be within industry and academia and will span pharma, biotech, materials and related sectors.

This role isn’t a heavy road-based position, but you can expect to be out visiting customers ~1 day per week on average. Covering the whole UK, you may need to have occasional overnight stays to make the best use of travel. You can be based anywhere in the UK, although a central location is preferred to make travel to customers easier. You’ll likely spend 2 days per month at Head Office in the South East.

Our client is looking for a Science graduate (or with equivalent lab experience) who is looking for a commercial career. You will ideally have some post-graduation experience, either in a lab or in a related commercial environment.

This role would suit an ambitious, self-starter who is independent and motivated to be a success. The company is offering a decent base salary, but the remuneration package is heavily weighted towards the commission to reward and recognize strong consistent performance.

You will need to have the right to work in the UK on a long-term basis without the requirement for sponsorship; fluent in English with a UK driving licence (car not provided but travel will be fully reimbursed).
