Face to Face Social Market Research Interviewer – Mobile, with travel up to 30 miles
Have you ever wondered where statistics like “36% of Britons think the government should reduce income tax” come from?
As a Social Market Research Interviewer, you will be interviewing members of the public, mostly in their homes. You will be provided a device to ask for their opinions on a wide range of subjects, and record their responses. We work on behalf of various clients, including government bodies and public sector organizations. Your data collection will support improvements in public services, influence governmental & corporate policies, and shape public policy across the UK.
We recruit regularly throughout the UK. If you are over 18, personable, confident in meeting new people, have a vehicle & a valid UK driving license, and want to earn money while impacting public policy, then this role is for you!
Pay rates:
You will get to speak to a wide variety of people daily. A key part of the role is being personable, building rapport, and encouraging participation. Some assignments will be local; others may require travel up to 30 miles or more.
We provide comprehensive fully-paid training to set you up for success. Our dedicated training team will support you in person on your first day and remain available throughout your employment.
This is a flexible customer service and market research role, offering some control over your working hours. We ask for a commitment of at least 16-20 hours per week, mainly in afternoons, evenings, and weekends, as research in people's homes is more successful during these times. You can also flex your schedule around other commitments.
You will knock on doors to secure participation, aided by comprehensive training. We facilitate engagement with participants by writing to them beforehand and scheduling appointments that suit both parties. Participants may receive incentives to take part, giving them the chance to influence public policy.
You will be assigned to a large geographic area, requiring travel up to 30 miles or more. Mileage is always paid. Access to a car or alternative transportation is generally necessary, especially in London where other options are available.
