The Role

Are you ready to advance your career and make a difference in the evolving energy industry? We are seeking six experienced Project Delivery Engineers to join Northern Powergrid's Major Projects Team. If you are a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with experience in 11kV to 132kV systems, this is your chance to contribute to high-profile capital reinforcement and new connection projects.

In this role, you will lead technical construction projects across HV and EHV networks, including new connections for demand and generation customers. We are recruiting across Yorkshire, with potential locations including York, Sheffield, Castleford, Brigg, and Hull. Relocation discussions are welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver technical construction projects within scope, time, and budget
• Operate as a SAP on distribution networks up to 132kV
• Lead safe delivery of capital reinforcement and new connection projects
• Handle outage and emergency planning
• Supervise site activities and contractor performance
• Implement safe systems of work and onsite safety management
• Support outage and emergency return-to-service planning

The Person

We are interested in candidates who:

• Are SAP-qualified up to 132kV on UK distribution or transmission networks
• Hold an HNC/HND/Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Understand CDM regulations and UK electrical safety standards
• Possess excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
• Are team-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to quality

Holding a NEBOSH/IOSH qualification is advantageous.
