Project Delivery Engineer – SAP – £53,771 - £73,451 – Yorkshire (York, Sheffield, Castleford, Brigg and Hull)

The Role

Are you ready to advance your career and influence change in the evolving energy industry? We are seeking six skilled Project Delivery Engineers to join Northern Powergrid's Major Projects Team. If you are a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with experience in 11kV to 132kV, this is your chance to impact high-profile capital reinforcement and new connection projects.

You will lead technical construction projects across HV and EHV networks, including new connections for demand and generation customers. Locations include York, Sheffield, Castleford, Brigg, and Hull. Relocation discussions are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver technical construction projects within time, budget, and quality standards
• Operate as a SAP on the distribution network up to 132kV
• Lead safe delivery of capital reinforcement and new connection projects
• Handle outage and emergency planning
• Supervise site activities and contractor performance
• Ensure safety systems are followed and lead onsite safety management
• Support outage and emergency return-to-service planning

The Person

Ideal candidates will:

• Be SAP-qualified up to 132kV on UK distribution or transmission networks
• Hold an HNC/HND/Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Understand CDM regulations and UK electrical safety standards
• Possess excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
• Be team-focused, customer-oriented, and quality-driven

Having a NEBOSH/IOSH qualification is advantageous.
