About the role

We are seeking a Fabric Technician to join our friendly team, ensuring high-standard site fabric services within our Health contract at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7am and 7pm.

Responsibilities
  • Attend regular M&E meetings with the Hard FM Manager and senior maintenance technician.
  • Perform building fabric duties across Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
  • Prioritize and manage all demand work orders received from the facilities helpdesk, ensuring reactive tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Assist in obtaining costs for additional works and materials using approved G4S specialist subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain full compliance with current and upcoming health & safety legislation on site.
  • Perform any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Engineering Manager and senior maintenance technician.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Recognized trade apprenticeship in building fabric construction/maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in building and facilities maintenance.
  • IT literate.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
