Haven House Childrens Hospice needs an experienced nurse leader like you to drive excellence in education, training and clinical governance across our organisation.

Our mission at Haven House is to provide the highest quality palliative and holistic care services to babies, children and young people and their families in our local communities.

As Education and Governance Lead Nurse, you will be a senior member of the nursing leadership team, providing strategic oversight of clinical governance frameworks, quality-improvement initiatives and a comprehensive education programme. You will line-manage two Band 6 Education and Governance Nurses and one Clinical Governance Support Officer, ensuring our staff are supported to deliver consistent, safe and evidence-based care.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will provide strategic leadership for all education, training, clinicalgovernance and quality-improvement activities across the hospice. They willdevelop, co-ordinate and implement robust governance frameworks alongside acomprehensive education programme, ensuring consistency of practice, highstandards of care, and a culture of continuous learning and safety. Linemanagement responsibility includes two Band 6 Education and Governance Nursesand one Education and Governance Officer.

  • Develop, implement and monitor systems to manage clinical risk, including incident reporting, root-cause analysis and trend analysis
