A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Group Facilitator to enhance service user recovery through therapeutic group interventions. The role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals facing substance use challenges, ensuring a holistic approach to care and recovery.
The Group Facilitator is a fast-paced, highly rewarding, service user-facing role integral to the smooth running and holistic offer of care and treatment to service users at ARC Hounslow.
You will need to be creative and possess determination to continually improve and adapt the offers of therapeutic, recovery, and skill-based groups to promote recovery and independence among our service users.
If so, there is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Group Facilitator, working alongside the Lead Group Facilitator, Senior Group Facilitator, Recovery Day Programme team, Nurses, Recovery Practitioners, Peer Support Workers, and a Consultant Psychiatrist at ARC Hounslow. You will work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to facilitate Psycho-Social Group interventions and other service user-centered activities.
The post holder must work flexibly, providing assistance as needed, which may involve a developing role.
All staff should support each other, deputize, and cover when appropriate.

The Group Facilitator will work with the team to deliver evidence-based group interventions, including Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention, Activity-based CBT, Positive Psychology, and Solution Focused interventions, supporting service users from contemplation to long-term recovery.
The role requires knowledge of therapies relevant to substance use disorders and experience in assessment, care planning, case management, risk assessment, and recovery interventions. The post promotes a coaching approach to help service users identify goals and develop recovery plans. Regular supervision and training opportunities are provided.
The role is based at ARC Hounslow, supporting social inclusion through therapeutic activities for service users with substance use issues.
Desirable: experience in substance use settings, voluntary work, health activities, teaching, or group facilitation.
Desirable: knowledge of coproduction and supporting families.
Desirable: interest in working with youth and families, and a driver’s license.
