Job summary

Good Shepherd LDC in Springfield Lakes is seeking a qualified Educator or someone working toward certification to join our warm, inclusive team. You will deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children’s wellbeing and curiosity.

You will hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, possess a Queensland Blue Card, and have current First Aid/CPR, with a passion for the education and care of young children.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services (ACEQA approved) required.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (WWCC) required.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certs (or willingness to obtain).
• Mandatory Child Protection Geccko Course 1 & 2.
• Knowledge of childcare industry practices and quality frameworks.
• Passion for caring for children 6 weeks to Kindergarten age in a play-based setting.
• Effective workplace communication skills.

Job Requirements:

• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• Knowledge and understanding of childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks
• A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten age in a play-based learning environment
• Effective workplace communication skills
