Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer within the Educational Psychology Service & Cheshire East Autism Team. This is a 6-month fixed term, full time position (37 hours) with the ability to gain additional skills and expand your knowledge, working closely with a supportive team of experienced professionals.

The ideal candidate will be organised, flexible, and have excellent communication skills. You will handle sensitive information with confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. We’re seeking a colleague who is super organised, thrives working in a busy environment, someone who is a great administrator with fantastic interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude, to join the team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to gain vast amounts of experience in a high-profile environment.

The role is grade 5, the post holder will be required to start as soon as possible. This is a temporary position for 6 months however there may be scope for future opportunities within the service.

The post holder will:

  • Maintain the Service Inbox in order to triage, allocate and resolve enquiries.
  • Support the EPS Business Manager to monitor, collate and interpret volumes of data.
  • Accurately input case related data into our client record management system.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide administrative support across the Educational Psychology Service and Cheshire East Autism Team.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for schools, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Organise meetings, collate agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions.
  • Undertake a range of administrative and financial duties.
  • Support the review of operational systems and processes to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in business and office administration.
  • Knowledge of Unit4 and Liquid Logic case management systems.
  • Understanding of the operational areas of the Educational Psychology Service and SEND team along with an understanding of the relevant legislation that underpins our duties.
  • Proficiency in databases and data processing, including Excel and client record management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection principles.
  • Prior experience within education or psychological services / past academic study in psychology is desirable.
