Job summary

Wirral Council is recruiting for Main Grade Educational Psychologist (Multiple Posts) on a Soulbury Scale A with up to 3 SPA points. The role is permanent with 36 hours per week and flexible, hybrid working arrangements.

Join Wirral’s Children’s Services to deliver early intervention, inclusion and SEND reform, providing high-quality psychology services to CYP 0–25 across diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Qualified Educational Psychologist or Trainee EP (Years 2/3)
• HCPC registered EP or in training with HCPC registration progress

Responsibilities

• Offer consultation to schools or settings to improve outcomes for children and young people
• Contribute to inclusive practice and service development
• Support inclusion by collaborating with other services and agencies
• Contribute to SEND reforms and the ‘Expert at Hand’ programme
• Deliver high-quality psychological services to support CYP aged 0–25 across diverse settings
• Provide psychological advice to the Local Authority
• Participate in and deliver the EP service’s training offer
• Supervise and support Assistant EPs and ELSA colleagues
• Support the development of Trainee EPs in partnership with universities
