The role

Involves communicating with families/carers and specialist agencies. You’ll work alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychotherapists, Psychologists, and Assistant Psychologists.

Location:

Homebased / Longdon Park School – Longdon Park School provides specialist education for pupils with complex needs including Autistic pupils, aged between 5 and 18 years old. It is part of our Options brand.

There is scope for this role to cover more than one school in the area, to be discussed.

Who we’re looking for?

We seek an Educational Psychologist with a master's or doctoral qualification and HCPC registration. You should be creative, passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with complex needs, resilient, and experienced in working with SEN needs. Good communication skills, assessment, and report writing abilities are essential.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide psychological assessment and intervention for pupils within the schools
  • Offer guidance to education and care teams
  • Provide supervision to members of the clinical team
  • Communicate with families/carers and specialist agencies
  • Engage in professional development training for staff
Essential Criteria
  • A doctoral or master's professional qualification in Educational Psychology
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Creative and passionate about improving outcomes for pupils
  • Able to work as part of a team and be self-reliant
