Nottinghamshire County Council invites applications for an Educational Audiologist or Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (with an interest in Audiology) within our Hearing and Vision Specialist Support Team. The start date is April 2027 or sooner if possible, with a SEN point and TLR 2a attached to the post.

We seek a qualified individual committed to improving outcomes for children aged 0–19 years, who can lead in audiology, collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, and pursue ongoing

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QToD) or Educational Audiologist with QTOD.
• Five years of teaching experience.
• Experience with hearing loss and educational audiology, including peripatetic work.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead audiology initiatives within the Hearing and Vision Specialist Support Team.
• Collaborate with QToDs, Teachers of the Deaf, and other specialists to enhance educational experiences.
• Support children with hearing loss through tailored interventions and inclusive practices.
• Engage with families to ensure their voices are heard in the educational process.
• Contribute to the continuing professional development of the team and yourself.
