Job summary

Gomersal Primary School is seeking a motivated Grade 6 Educational Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with an EHCP in the Early Years Unit. You will work with a supportive team to facilitate learning, remove barriers, and tailor activities to individual needs.

Lunchtime supervision is also part of the role to ensure a safe and positive lunchtime experience. You will collaborate with teachers, the SENDCo and staff to foster learning, confidence, independence and social skills, contributing to

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Capable of engaging children and supporting their learning in Early Years settings.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and development of a pupil with an EHCP.
• Work with class teachers, SENDCo and staff to enable participation in learning.
• Provide personal and medical care as required.
• Supervise lunchtimes and support a happy, safe lunchtime experience.

Gomersal Primary School are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, dynamic and ambitious Grade 6 Educational Teaching Assistant. The role will be, predominantly, to support a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan in the Early Years Unit, alongside a supportive and experienced teaching team, supporting their learning as well as carrying out their personal and medical care.

The successful candidate will be able to build positive relationships, understand individual needs, remove barriers to learning and find creative ways to engage children in their education.

You will work closely with the class teachers, SENDCo and wider staff team to provide targeted support that enables pupils to participate successfully in learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills. The role will also include lunchtime supervision, supporting children to have a happy, safe and positive lunchtime experience.
