Job summary

OFG Education’s Manor House School in West Sussex is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join the in-house clinical team. You will deliver bespoke SLT assessment and intervention within an education setting, working with a dedicated multidisciplinary staff to support students aged 5–18 with diverse needs.

You will hold a SLT caseload with supervision and contribute to staff training, ensuring adherence to safeguarding and the organisation’s Ways of Working.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• HCPC registered, and registered with the RCSLT.
• Experience engaging individuals with complex and diverse communication profiles.
• Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice.
• Experience of multidisciplinary working in a range of settings.
• Experience of communicating with/working with families, relatives and carers.
• Interest in developing knowledge and skills in different areas of SLT practice.
• Good relationship building, analytical and judgmental skills.
• Good communication skills (oral and written).
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Competent in core areas of SLT practice and understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards.
• Knowledge of SLT assessment tools and intervention types and formulating support plans based on needs profile.
• Knowledge of legislation and its implications for clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Hold a Speech and Language therapy caseload with supervision.
• Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
• Collaborate with education teams to deliver assessments and bespoke interventions.
• Confirm practice aligns with OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working.
• Support safeguarding culture and person-centred approaches for students.
