Education Solicitor - Bristol

Chadwick Nott are delighted to be instructed by a leading national law firm who is looking for an Education Solicitor to play a key role within our Public Law & Human Rights team. You'll be trusted to manage your own caseload, support junior colleagues, and work on matters that genuinely change lives.

The Opportunity
  • Running a caseload of complex education matters, including SEND Tribunal appeals.
  • Advising on a wide range of education law issues such as:
    • School admissions, exclusions & disability discrimination cases
    • Complaints against local authorities & schools
    • Judicial Reviews & UTT appeals
    • Advice to schools/colleges on safeguarding and education law
    • EHCP health checks & SEN strategy advice
    • Community care law linked to education matters
  • Handling a mix of privately and publicly funded work.
  • Supervising junior colleagues and reviewing case files.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, charities, and education organisations.
  • Writing and delivering training, seminars, and articles to share expertise.
What We're Looking For
  • Solid experience in education law (public law/community care knowledge an advantage).
  • Confidence to work independently on issued cases.
  • Resilience, empathy, and the ability to support vulnerable clients.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for achieving justice.
