Job summary

Chadwick Nott is recruiting a Senior Associate Solicitor for Education in Bath. Hybrid working is available from the Bath office.

The role focuses on major corporate and education transactions, leading complex projects, client advisory work and business development to support growth in a Tier 1 ranked practice. Ideal candidates will have strong M&A experience in the education sector, supervise junior colleagues, and drive client outcomes with commercial sense and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in corporate or education M&A transactions.
  • Strong interest in education law and independent schools.
  • Experience supervising and developing junior team members.
  • Proven business development experience and ability to generate new revenue streams.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage projects independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence handling challenging conversations.
  • Strong financial hygiene (accurate time recording, billing discipline, cost awareness).

Senior Associate Solicitor - Education - Bath

Location: Bath (Hybrid)

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 (dependent on experience)

A nationally recognised Education team is seeking a Senior Associate to advise on major corporate, strategic and transformational projects across the education sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work with leading independent schools and educational organisations, delivering high quality advice on complex transactions while developing your profile within a Tier 1 ranked practice.

The role is ideally suited to an experienced corporate lawyer with strong M&A experience and a genuine interest in supporting purpose driven organisations through periods of change and growth. Hybrid working is available from the Bath office.

The Role
