Job summary

Henry Blue seeks a Programme Leader to head a teaching team in Bolton, combining leadership, teaching and curriculum development to help learners realise their potential and progress into their next steps.

Qualifications

• English and mathematics qualifications at Level 2 or above.
• Significant FE teaching, learning and assessment experience with young people.
• Knowledge of contemporary teaching and learning theory and practice.
• Experience of curriculum design and development.
• Knowledge of FE funding and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with quality and regulatory frameworks, including Ofsted.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting colleagues to improve their practice.
• Experience of collaborative working and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team of teaching staff through effective line management, coaching and mentoring.
• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment alongside leadership responsibilities.
• Ensure learners receive appropriate academic, pastoral and progression support.
• Monitor learner progress and achievement, using data to identify and address areas of concern.
• Lead the development and implementation of an engaging and responsive curriculum.
• Ensure programmes meet quality, compliance and regulatory requirements, including Ofsted expectations.
• Develop strategies to maximise learner retention, achievement and progression.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and excellence.
• Work collaboratively with employers, partner organisations and internal stakeholders.
• Develop opportunities for industry engagement, work experience and enrichment.
• Support the effective, safe and compliant operation of the education centre.
• Identify and respond to the needs of learners who may require additional support.
