Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment are working with an established main contractor to appoint an experienced Assistant Site Manager for an education project in Canterbury, Kent.

You will support the Site Manager in coordinating site operations, subcontractors, health & safety, quality and programme delivery, ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard. The role requires previous main contracting experience on education schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Site Manager or similar supervisory role on main contracting projects.
• Experience delivering education sector construction projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage site activities.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements and RAMS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day management of site operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site operatives to progress works.
• Monitor progress against programme and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Support site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation.
