Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is seeking a Link Coordinator for our new Support Hub to work with schools, families and partner agencies to identify needs early and coordinate timely support for vulnerable children.

The role requires safeguarding/education experience, strong partnership working, and the ability to advise on attendance and exploitation concerns, with a restorative, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding or education environment with strong partnership-working and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of family assessments and support planning, and safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Regularly visit allocated schools and facilitate problem-solving discussions.
• Support Family Support Plans and advise on attendance/exploitation concerns.
• Provide guidance and challenge to improve safeguarding practice and strengthen multi-agency working.
