Job summary

Academics in Swindon is seeking a Recruitment Consultant for the education sector to drive growth through new client acquisition and successful candidate placements.

You will build and manage a portfolio of schools and educational bodies, source and interview candidates, and close placements while meeting sales targets. The role offers a competitive salary (£27k–£32k) plus commission and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in recruitment or education sector is desirable but not essential.
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of clients within the education sector, including primary, secondary and SEN schools.
• Develop new business by identifying and targeting potential clients, using sales skills to sell recruitment services.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients, offering tailored staffing solutions.
• Source, interview, and place education professionals to match candidates with clients.
• Conduct regular sales calls and meetings to increase opportunities and meet targets.
• Manage recruitment from client inquiry to candidate placement and aftercare.
• Use CRM software to track progress and maintain accurate records.
