Job summary

AE Talent Solutions LTD is recruiting a Quality & Teaching and Learning Manager for the education team at HMP Brixton. This leadership role drives quality improvement, supports teaching excellence and ensures learners receive a high-quality educational experience.

You will work with teaching and support teams to raise standards across the department, focusing on teaching, learning, assessment, Functional Skills, learner engagement and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification (QTLS) or equivalent.
• Assessor/Verifier qualification or relevant experience.
• English or Maths expertise at Level 3 or above.
• Evidence of a Grade 1 lesson observation within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the quality cycle across the education department.
• Champion high standards in teaching, learning and assessment.
• Plan and lead lesson observations, learning walks and thematic deep dives.
• Provide coaching and support to teachers to improve their teaching practice.
• Develop and monitor teaching and learning action plans.
• Coordinate CPD in response to quality findings and identified development needs.
• Support preparation for Ofsted inspections and related actions.
• Provide quality assurance across teaching, neurodiversity and reading provision.
• Monitor IQA and EQA activity.
• Support learners with neurodiverse and inclusion needs.
• Work with Neurodiversity and Reading Specialists on screening and support.
• Lead learner engagement strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
• Induct and mentor new teaching staff.
• Maintain accurate quality records and reporting.
