Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification is required.
• Recognised teaching qualification is required.
• Experience leading quality improvement activity within an education setting.
• Experience managing curriculum development and change.
• Proven ability to improve learner outcomes through effective teaching and learning strategies.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance systems and processes.
• Experience supporting and developing teaching staff.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of performance management and quality improvement methodologies.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead QTLA strategy across the education provision.
• Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning and learner outcomes.
• Monitor teaching quality through observations, learning walks, audits and quality reviews.
• Support tutors to develop innovative, engaging and learner-centred delivery approaches.
• Ensure curriculum delivery meets awarding body, inspection and contractual standards.
• Promote outstanding teaching practice and sharing of best practice across teams.
• Support Education Manager in curriculum delivery and development.
• Ensure programmes meet learner, employer and contractual needs.
• Analyse performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to curriculum innovation and service development.
• Coach, mentor and support teaching staff to improve performance and learner outcomes.
• Support CPD plans and staff development.
• Conduct observations and provide developmental feedback.
• Promote accountability and continuous improvement across the teaching team.
• Support recruitment, induction and development of new staff members.
• Lead quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support SAR and QIP processes.
• Monitor compliance with Ofsted and awarding body requirements.
• Maintain accurate quality and performance records.
• Contribute to inspection readiness and quality reviews.
• Deputise for Education Manager when required.
• Support wider operational and curriculum priorities.
• Work with prison staff, education teams and external stakeholders.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
