Job summary

Turner & Townsend in London seeks a Project Manager with Education sector experience to deliver full lifecycle management for schools, universities and research institutions.

You will lead project teams, manage budgets, and engage stakeholders while applying NEC contract knowledge and UK guidelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. This role offers exposure to live projects and opportunities to grow within our market-leading Health and Education Division.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate level professional qualification in project management (must be internationally recognised).
• Degree in a relevant field (preferable).
• Experience in Education projects, such as schools, universities, or research institutions.
• Strong contract administration skills, especially with NEC contracts.
• Commercially astute, with the ability to manage budgets and resources.
• Knowledge of UK Department for Education guidelines, funding mechanisms, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and secure resources for education-related projects or programmes, using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Lead and manage project teams and delegate tasks, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
• Identify and manage risks and issues, using effective mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Ensure projects stay on track and deliver on time and within budget, using relevant project management methodologies and standards.
• Build, sustain and facilitate relationships with stakeholders in the education sector, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
• Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of education projects, using appropriate metrics and indicators.
• Evaluate the impact and benefits of education projects, using evidence-based methods and tools.
