Job summary

Cats Protection, the UK’s leading cat welfare charity, is recruiting an Education Manager to lead our Education pillar. The role is remote from the UK, 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with a permanent contract.

You will manage Education Officers, translate strategy into practical plans, build partnerships, and drive accessible, evidence-informed education initiatives to improve outcomes for cats and their carers.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in developing and delivering education, engagement or public-awareness activities for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of how education and engagement contribute to positive behaviour change.
• Experience leading people, projects or services and delivering outcomes.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into practical plans and implement them.
• Experience planning and coordinating work while balancing priorities, risks and dependencies.
• Experience influencing stakeholders to build commitment and achieve goals.
• Experience using feedback and insights to improve services or resources.
• Inclusive leadership with commitment to accessibility and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead one of our Education pillars, turning strategy into plans, programmes and outcomes.
• Manage and develop a team of Education Officers, creating an inclusive and high-performing culture.
• Oversee education service development and change, testing and improving how Education is delivered.
• Build relationships with colleagues, volunteers and stakeholders to maximise impact.
• Act as a senior Education contact for designated geographic areas.
• Balance competing priorities, resources, risks and dependencies across the pillar.
• Use audience insight and evaluation to improve resources and programmes.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that supports autonomy and development.
• Collaborate with Head of Education and other managers to deliver impactful services.
