Job summary

Prospero Teaching are recruiting a People & OD Advisor to provide professional HR support across a group of education settings. You will act as the primary HR contact for schools, handling employee relations matters and contributing to organisational development and wellbeing initiatives.

You will coach leaders, advise on disciplinary, absence management and lawful HR practice, support policy development and multi-site projects, and deliver training to managers. DBS check is required. ASAP start.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR experience.
• Experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience providing professional advice to managers and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR contact for allocated schools and departments.
• Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and organisational change.
• Coach and support leaders to develop effective people management skills.
• Manage an employee relations caseload and support investigations and formal meetings.
• Contribute to wellbeing, engagement and inclusion initiatives.
• Support policy development, organisational change projects and people-focused improvements.
• Deliver HR training and briefings to managers.
• Analyse workforce data and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support compliance with safeguarding, safer recruitment and HR best practice.
