Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner to join the Lambeth MHST. You will deliver 1:1 low-intensity Guided Self-Help interventions for children and young people, and run group sessions within schools and the wider community.

The role focuses on early intervention, working with education and health colleagues to improve access to mental health services, both in person and remotely via MS Teams. NHS terms apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified EMHP with ability to deliver 1:1 low-intensity interventions using Guided Self-Help.
• Experience delivering group interventions in educational settings is desirable.
• Proactive collaboration with education and health colleagues within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 low-intensity Guided Self-Help interventions for Children and Young People (5–18).
• Deliver group interventions and workshops for the wider school community.
• Work autonomously with supervision and liaise with schools, social care and health professionals.
• Contribute to the Whole School Approach to improve access to mental health services.
• Deliver interventions both face-to-face and remotely (e.g., via MS Teams).
