Qualified Mental Health Nurses, your re-entry into the profession is now possible with our trust. Apply for tailored Mental Health Nursing positions, starting with a discussion about your goals. Successful candidates will receive a conditional offer, pending completion of a "return to practice" course. Although unpaid, the course placements provide valuable skill enhancement.

After completing the course and registering with the NMC, you can transition into a paid role within our trust. We offer various vacancies including Inpatient Wards, Crisis Resolution HTT, Older People's Mental Health, Eating Disorders Unit, Community Mental Health Team, CAMHS Inpatient, ADHD Nursing, and Perinatal Mental Health. We will assist you throughout the process and discuss your team preferences.

Register with Health Education England (HEE) on their Return to Practice Programme (RtP) to unlock opportunities. The HEE Returnee Information Form is your entry point, supported by funding for expenses and relevant courses. Main duties of the job

Join our program with dedicated support from our friendly teams. Our Learning Environment Leads will guide you through each step, ensuring you meet and exceed the required placement hours for re-registration.

Gain hands-on experience through shadowing and supervised clinical work, tailored to your schedule. You can choose hours, times, and frequency that suit your preferences.

As per NMC guidelines, the updating requirements are:

  • 0-2 years out of practice: No mandatory updating.
  • 2-5 years out of practice: 30 days of updating.
  • 5+ years out of practice: 60 days of updating.

(Note: 1 day = 7 hours of updating.)
