Wehave an exciting opportunity to be part of The Health Minds Team as a qualifiedEducation Mental Health Practitioner. The post holder will work collaborativelywith our education sites across the borough to provide early intervention andpreventative evidence based clinical interventions to children and young peopleto promote resilience and support their emotional wellbeing.
The post holderwill be expected to work with their school setting to build and develop apositive mental health ethos through a whole school approach model and willidentify individual needs of the school and work collaboratively to develop andimplement an action plan.
Thepost holder will have specific knowledge and experience of working withchildren and young people who have mental health difficulties and haveexperience of working within education settings.
The post holder will work within the aims and objectives of the Mental HealthSupport Team set out in the Mental Health Green Paper, and parameters set outby NHS England.

The post holder will have successfully completed the PostGraduate Diploma inMental Health and EmotionalWellbeing Studies in the Education Environment, and have registered with theBABCP/BPS within 6 months of qualification.
The Mental HealthSupport Team is located within schools across South Tyneside, and anyintervention or service will be delivered from schools and other communitybases.

To work as amember of the Mental Health Support Team in South Tyneside and Sunderland NHSFoundation Trust providing an Education based mental health service to childrenand young people.
This includes the direct provision of evidence-based interventions and outcomefocused standards of care to children and families/carers.
The delivery ofhigh-quality training, consultation, and support to other Education staff.
To deliver aWhole School Approach to developing positive culture of mental health withinthe school environment.
The service will be delivered from Education bases as an integral part of anagreed iTHRIVE multi-agency model of Children and Young Peoples Mental HealthService provision.
Work collaboratively with multi professional teams to ensure practice isefficient, effective, evidence based and safe.
