Job summary

The Logistics Technician (ECU Education) role sits within the NHS Resilience Emergency Capabilities Unit, hosted by the London Ambulance Service. You will manage specialist equipment, a fleet of vehicles, and support training and emergency preparedness activities across England.

The post combines logistics coordination, asset management, and operational support, including safety checks, stock control, and procurement involvement. You will travel and perform hands-on duties as required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required and must be current.
• Full manual driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• GCSE English and Maths at C or above or 4-9, Functional skills level 2.
• C1 / D1 driving licence including 7.5 ton.

Responsibilities

• Maintain EPRR vehicle safety checks and vehicle maintenance programmes.
• Update and monitor equipment inventories and an asset register.
• Coordinate stock control and support procurement processes.
• Ensure cleaning and decontamination meet infection prevention standards.
• Support major and significant exercises and facilitate movement of equipment nationally.
• Include hands-on driving and manual handling as required.
