Job summary

Travail Employment Group is representing a well-established educational organisation in Plumpton, near Lewes, seeking a Kitchen Porter to support daily dining and catering operations. The role requires maintaining high cleanliness and food hygiene standards while delivering excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors.

Reporting to the Catering Coordinator, you will work 45 hours per week (Mon-Fri 08:30-18:30) with a 12 per hour wage, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in catering/hospitality is desirable.
• Knowledge of food hygiene standards is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake training where required.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment.
• Assist kitchen team with basic food preparation duties.
• Support food service in the dining hall.
• Keep preparation and wash-up areas clean and organised.
• Maintain high food hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Provide polite, professional service to students, staff and visitors.
• Assist with catering requirements across the site as needed.
• Support evening or weekend functions and events.
