  • Type: Temporary

  • Pay: £24.49 per hour (PAYE) / £31.97 per hour (Umbrella)

  • Location: Barking & Dagenham

  • Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)


Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Education, Health and Care (EHC) Case Coordinator to manage a caseload of approximately 200 cases, consisting of both reviews and assessments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating statutory processes and ensuring high-quality support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).


Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate the statutory process for Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessments for children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and disabilities.

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with EHC Plans, ensuring their needs are met through appropriate provision.

  • Oversee and complete the statutory annual review process of EHC Plans.

  • Prepare written briefs and provide oral representation to EHC Panels and other panels as required.

  • Maintain and update all necessary records and documentation in line with GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and London Borough of Barking and Dagenham policies.

  • Attend regular supervision sessions to ensure consistent casework progression in accordance with decisions made by relevant Local Authority Panels.


Requirements


  • Previous experience managing EHC assessments or similar statutory processes within a Local Authority or education-focused setting.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a high caseload effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.

  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory timelines.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
