Job summary

Brunel Academies Trust is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the Finance Team in Swindon or Salisbury. You will provide strategic financial advice, robust analysis, and support for budget setting, forecasting, and reporting to improve outcomes for children and young people.

You will work closely with Education Provision leaders, administrators and central teams, translating financial information into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders while ensuring compliance with Trust

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths – essential
• Level 2 or above in an accountancy or finance qualification or other relevant discipline – essential

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets for designated Education Provisions, ensuring alignment with Trust-approved assumptions, Development Plans, and strategic objectives.
• Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and key performance indicators, highlighting and escalating significant variances where appropriate.
• Develop monthly salary monitoring reports and work collaboratively with People Services to support effective workforce planning.
• Support Education Provision leaders in making informed financial decisions and implementing actions to mitigate budget pressures.
