Job summary

Asset Education is recruiting for a finance professional to join its central finance team in Ipswich. The role focuses on budgeting, monitoring, and supporting schools to ensure effective financial management and value for money across the trust.

The successful candidate will be accurate, analytical, a good team player and ready to work across the county, with DBS checks and safeguarding commitments in place.

Qualifications

• Have practical experience of using a computerised accounting system.
• Be able to learn quickly and share knowledge.
• Have a flexible and reliable approach.
• Be an excellent communicator.
• Have a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Holding or working towards an AAT qualification would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support schools with budget setting and monitoring.
• Liaise with headteachers and other stakeholders to ensure school success.
• Provide central finance team support as described in the job description.
