Job summary

5 Dimensions Trust is seeking a Finance Manager to join our central finance team. You will report to the Trust Finance Manager and provide financial management support across primary and secondary academies.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, monitor budgets, support month-end/year-end processes and ensure compliance with Trust financial procedures. Line management for up to three Finance Assistants is included.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
• Experience with management accounts, budgeting and reporting.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Experience supervising finance staff.
• Experience in education sector desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and budget monitoring reports.
• Support Headteachers and budget holders to understand financial performance.
• Monitor budgets and investigate variances.
• Manage month-end processes, reconciliations and VAT returns.
• Support year-end accounts and audit requirements.
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance.
• Build relationships across schools and the wider Trust.
