Job summary

RIBA 1834 Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking an ARB-registered Architect to lead design development and technical coordination across education and DfE projects, from concept through construction. You’ll work with CAD and BIM, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with engineers and stakeholders.

The role involves site meetings, contract administration, and quality assurance, with salary up to £45,000 DOE and benefits including healthcare, pension contributions, and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Part 3 qualification and ARB registration are required.
• Experience managing projects across RIBA stages is essential.
• Experience on education/DfE projects is needed.
• Ability to produce coordinated architectural designs using building technologies and construction techniques.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit for design and coordination.
• Understanding of Building Regulations, Building Safety Act and CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop architectural solutions based on project briefs and client needs.
• Prepare surveys, site reports, and presentation materials using CAD/BIM.
• Develop concept, detailed and technical designs coordinating with engineers and suppliers.
• Produce drawings for planning, building control, tender and construction stages.
• Monitor Building Regulations compliance and participate in quality assurance.
• Attend project/site meetings, undertake contract administration and site inspections.
