Job summary

Great Yarmouth Charter Academy is seeking a Data Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our school environment. You will analyse data, manage timetables, and report student progress to parents while ensuring accuracy for government and stakeholders.

This fixed-term role starts December 2026 or January 2027, part-time 22.5 hours per week, 39 working weeks, pro-rata salary on the G scale (£17,402–£18,594 per annum, actual).

Qualifications

• GCSE maths and English or equivalent required.
• Experience developing, managing and operating organisational procedures.
• Experience collecting, analysing and reporting data in IT MIS, preferably in a school/education environment.
• Strong analytical and IT skills, including Excel, Access and MIS to produce accurate reports and tracking.
• Good written and spoken communication to interpret reporting needs for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage data analysis for the Academy and Trust by collating, controlling, interpreting and disseminating data to enable target setting and action to raise student achievement.
• Oversee the Academy’s reporting of student progress to parents.
• Ensure timely production of academy statistics to report to government, Academy committee, Trust and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain accurate timetabling information for the new academic year and keep it updated.
• Manage staff data and update databases in liaison with HR.
