Job summary

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is seeking an Education Concerns Officer to investigate issues affecting nursing, midwifery and nursing associate education across the UK, ensuring risks to students and public protection are identified and managed with diligence.

You will gather evidence, assess risks and work with universities and colleagues to determine appropriate actions, safeguards and regulatory outcomes, contributing to a stronger education oversight framework.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing risk and investigating regulatory concerns.
• Ability to evaluate information and make evidence-based decisions.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Investigate concerns relating to education programmes and institutes.
• Assess risk and analyse information from multiple sources.
• Gather information from providers and secure assurances.

• Prepare governance reports and deliver recommendations.
