Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is recruiting a Compliance Officer to join the regional team based in Plymouth or Truro. You will guide candidates through pre-employment checks and ensure adherence to regulatory standards within education recruitment.

Reporting to the Regional Compliance Manager, you will manage a high volume of files, stay current with KCSiE and APSCo, and support audits while ensuring GDPR-compliant documentation and a smooth candidate journey.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months experience in a compliance role in education.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to operate within strict timeframes.
• Excellent organisation skills to manage a high volume of candidate files.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Guide candidates through pre-employment checks including DBS checks, references and right to work checks.
• Collaborate with resourcing and partnerships teams to ensure a smooth candidate journey.
• Manage a high volume of candidate files with strict deadlines.
• Identify compliance gaps and support corrective actions.
• Stay up to date with changes in legislation such as KCSiE and APSCo.
• Escalate compliance concerns to the Head of Quality & Compliance.
• Assist with external audits preparation with the compliance team.
• Update internal CRM with compliance information.
• Refine and improve the candidate journey and make recommendations to management.
• Coordinate with regional team to ensure timely clearance of files.
• Aim to meet and exceed KPIs for the team.
