Location: Malton STW, Seven Street, Malton YO17 6YA, with regular travel required across the East Coast region and wider Yorkshire Water operational area. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates based in or near Scarborough, Bridlington, and the surrounding areas.
Work type: Fixed Term Contract for 2 years with potential for extension. As an education adviser, to undertake an annualised hours contract working 2 days per week / 36 weeks per year including holiday entitlement. Your working days will usually be Monday & Tuesday, though being flexible will be beneficial. You will be working with our Coastal Education Adviser to deliver outreach programmes in schools across the East Coast, with the potential for getting involved in other aspects of our wider education activity.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an education adviser to offer a warm Yorkshire welcome to our diverse range of visitors and deliver an exceptional customer experience through our ‘in-person’ schools outreach programme. In addition to this main task, there may be opportunities to assist with visits at our education centres and deliver our virtual awareness programmes. While knowledge of the water industry or teaching experience is highly desirable, it is not essential. We seek a confident communicator who can build rapport with visitors of all ages and enjoys being part of a busy and flexible team. The role involves working with teachers and students, delivering programmes within a school environment, and staying updated with the water industry and educational sector. These annualised hours contract involves working two days per week for 36 weeks per year, including holiday entitlement – working days will usually be a Monday & Tuesday. Flexibility in supporting the business with educational work requirements is crucial, including delivering tours on other days or at other sites, working with the general public at open days, assisting with key stakeholder visits, and enhancing educational resources. The successful candidate must pass an enhanced DBS check before any formal offer can be made.

If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment.
